- ➤ The Third Annual January Jerky Off took place on Saturday at the All-American Club in Duluth, featuring 15 jerky flavors + a friendly competition to support beneficiary Brandon Sell, who is between radiation and surgery. Two-time cancer survivor Dennis Thielke organized the event to bring lasting community support. WDIO
- ➤ The Bailey Builds Collective and Friends hosted the Kid-Preneur Winter Market (in Spirit Valley), where young vendors sold arts, cookies and crafts. They plan a Big Heart Energy Market on Valentine’s Day next month and another Kid-Preneur event later this summer. WDIO

- ➤ Mont du Lac Resort partnered with Ski Hut to host its first Border Jam on Saturday, where skiers and snowboarders aged 10 to 40 competed for free passes + prizes, and organizers plan more events for the upcoming season. WDIO
