  • Visit Duluth is hosting the Explore Minnesota Tourism Conference at the DECC — a gathering of tourism leaders focused on emerging trends — with sessions running through Thursday.  WDIO

EDUCATION NEWS

  • State and local lawmakers held a roundtable to address child-care funding challenges after a burst pipe forced Lakeside Early Learning to close for a week, affecting infant and toddler rooms. Nearly 60 families had to find alternative care as the center used personal funds to cover repairs and staff wages.  WDIO

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • Kraus-Anderson completed construction of the NorthStar Ford Arena at 4309 Ugstad Road in Hermantown, adding a 77,595 sqft ice arena with nearly 700 spectator seats. Voters funded the initiative via a sales tax increase (finished December 2025) and the facility now serves local hockey leagues and community events.  BusinessNorth
