CULTURE NEWS

  • Downtown Duluth invites residents to vote for five movies to round out the Movies in the Park line-up this summer. Voting ends Friday, April 17 and screenings will run on Fridays from July 10 until Aug. 28 at Leif Erikson Park.  WDIO

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Rock Ridge School District is considering $2.45 million in budget cuts and a four-day week to save about $256,000 (the proposal includes letting go 12 teachers, a decision passed Monday). The board will vote on the schedule change on April 13.  WDIO

HEALTH NEWS

  • Essentia Health reached an agreement with the Minnesota Nurses Association on a three-year contract for nurses at the Miller Hill Surgery Center (covering 23 nurses) that runs through March 31 and was ratified on March 20.  BusinessNorth
