LNPK Grocery, built by Ecolibrium3, is set to hold an open house on April 23 from 3 to 6 p.m. in Lincoln Park as it addresses fresh food needs in a neighborhood facing a food desert; its grand opening is expected this spring after permitting and construction delays.

Duluth agreed to pay a $12,000 fine and $190,000 in compensation after 1.7 million gallons of treated water released in August killed about 2,300 fish in Tischer Creek.

The funds will finance creek restoration projects and support a learn-to-fish program at Hartley Nature Center.
