- ➤ The MPCA forecasts 12 to 16 days of wildfire smoke affecting air quality this summer, down from 40 days last summer, and it advises residents to check daily forecasts + adjust outdoor plans if needed. KSTP
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Minnesota Public Utilities Commission ruled that Xcel Energy will refund $40.6 million plus interest after its workers accidentally severed a cable that caused a three-month outage at Prairie Island. The bill credit will show on customer statements soon. KSTP

- ➤ Essentia Health is piloting a program that helps high blood pressure patients monitor readings at home — nurses call patients with high readings to adjust medications as needed, and hundreds have joined while the program is refined. WDIO
