  • Hundreds competed at the annual Jigsaw Puzzle Contest held at the DECC over the weekend. Teams, pairs, and solo puzzlers raced to complete a 500-piece puzzle by a local firm + winners received state championship trophies, and the solo champion advanced to the USA Jigsaw Puzzle Nationals.  WDIO

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • The wildfire near Two Harbors grew to 376 acres and remained 0% contained by Saturday (May 16) as crews used water drops and dozers to extend containment lines while Highway 61 stayed closed and detours were in place for safety.  WDIO

HEALTH NEWS

  • Duluth residents joined the statewide Strides for Stroke Walks at Miller Hill Mall on Saturday as part of Stroke Awareness Month, where local survivors shared their experiences and learned about free stroke prevention resources from the Minnesota Stroke Association.  WDIO
