  • The Northland Foundation awarded 17 grants totaling $592,000 in Q1 to local nonprofits that support youth + families with early learning and housing programs in northeastern Minnesota. The grants will strengthen essential community services across the region.  BusinessNorth

  • The Minnesota DNR urges caution in Northland this Memorial Day weekend as high fire risk persists and advises residents to keep campfires small and maintain safe distances from dry vegetation (fire restrictions remain in effect and conditions can change quickly).  WDIO

  • The U.S. Bankruptcy Court approved a new process so Rusco customers can access financial recovery through the DLI Contractor Recovery Fund without filing full claims. Affected individuals must follow a five-step procedure and apply before July 1.  KSTP
