The Lake Superior Marine Museum Association announced today it acquired the Duluth Harbor South Breakwater Outer Light, a 1.5-story brick lighthouse built in 1901 that guided ships into the harbor.
The group plans to restore the beacon and offer public tours in the next couple years — local experts will begin repairs and fundraising soon.
