GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • St. Louis County gave initial approval for its maximum tax levy for 2026 that is 12.4% higher than in 2025—this increase is due to rising employee salaries, healthcare costs, and lower state and federal revenue and may be partly offset by a 7% growth in the property tax base.
