  • A new report finds Essentia Health drives over $7.69 billion in annual economic impact by supporting more than 24,000 jobs throughout the Twin Ports. The nonprofit directly employs 8,087 people at its Duluth and Superior facilities—boosting local business and services.  BusinessNorth

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • A Minnesota court ruled Monday that drivers must wait until a school bus stop arm is fully extended with flashing lights before stopping, and the decision overturned Allison Waln’s conviction from an April 2 case in Baxter — a ruling that may lead lawmakers to review the current traffic law since over 8,500 citations have been issued since 2018 — authorities said.  KSTP

  • Women Gonna Lift Pop-Up Lifting Event

    Join us for a FREE women's lifting event hosted at Northland Fitness in Lincoln Park. Suggested donation of $20 to Duluth Center For Women and Children (more info on this cause and how to donate in the sign up link!). This event is perfect for novice AND experienced lifters who want to have some fun lifting while raising money for a local cause! We are planning to back squat together for his pop-up. If you are a novice lifter there will be a physical therapist and personal trainer present to help you know exactly what to do! This is also an awesome opportunity to tour Northland Fitness and try out a new gym for free!
