- ➤ Spirit Mountain announced its new four-person chairlift will be named Highline after nearly 2,000 local votes in a community contest. The lift will replace the Summit and Gandy lifts and will be ready this winter—promising a smoother, more comfortable ride. BusinessNorth
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ The Minnesota Public Utilities Commission approved a $6.2B deal that will see Minnesota Power, serving about 150,000 customers from Duluth to central areas, be acquired by Global Infrastructure Partners (a BlackRock subsidiary) & the Canadian Pension Plan Investment Board on Friday. The sale converts Allete Inc. to a private company and includes customer protections such as $50 million in bill credits and a $20 monthly discount for low-income users. KSTP
