- ➤ Whole Foods Co-op celebrated 55 years in Duluth on October 7 at Ursa Minor Brewing—Mayor Roger Reinert issued a proclamation naming the day Whole Foods day. The co-op has supported local farmers and raised nearly one million dollars for nonprofits through its round up program. WDIO

- ➤ Sun Country Airlines will suspend its seasonal service between Duluth and Fort Myers this winter—Duluth Airport Authority said it will look for new airline partners while appreciating the service provided in past seasons. WDIO

GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Daniel Rosen was confirmed by the Senate to serve as U.S. Attorney for the District of Minnesota, taking over from Acting U.S. Attorney Joseph Thompson. He brings over 30 years of commercial litigation experience and was praised by Congressman Tom Emmer for his commitment to public safety — a step aimed at protecting Minnesotans from crime and fraud. - ➤ Imagine Downtown unveiled its five-year plan to revive downtown after a year of community feedback including focus groups, walking tours and surveys. The plan calls for improvements to lighting, sidewalks, signage and the skywalk system—funded by Boreal Waters Community Foundation’s Knight Fund—and aims to add 1,500 new residential units to support local growth. - ➤ MnDOT and WisDOT will hold a public meeting on October 20 at the Superior Public Library to update locals on the Blatnik Bridge project and answer questions.
