- ➤ The Housing and Redevelopment Authority held a ribbon cutting Monday October 27 to mark the final phase of development in Harbor Highlands—40 new affordable units were added, including designated housing for people exiting homelessness and those with disabilities, along with a new playground near the YMCA. Residents will pay only 30% of their income on rent, helping families access stable housing. WDIO

- ➤ The 50th Anniversary Commemoration of the SS Edmund Fitzgerald sinking is set for November 10 at Split Rock Lighthouse—and all 2,000 in-person tickets have been sold. - ➤ Aspirus St. Luke's in Duluth ended its contract with Blue Cross Blue Shield to seek fair payment that covers rising care costs—hospital leaders say a new agreement is needed to match expenses.
