- ➤ Last Saturday, community members brought pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns to Resource Renew’s Yard Waste Compost Site for its 2nd Annual Pumpkin Palooza where the gourds were composted to improve soil health and reduce landfill waste—Resource Renew provided free countertop food collection bins and compostable bags. The compost site will be open from Wednesday to Saturday through the fall season ending on the Saturday before Thanksgiving. WDIO
