Last Saturday, community members brought pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns to Resource Renew’s Yard Waste Compost Site for its 2nd Annual Pumpkin Palooza where the gourds were composted to improve soil health and reduce landfill waste—Resource Renew provided free countertop food collection bins and compostable bags. The compost site will be open from Wednesday to Saturday through the fall season ending on the Saturday before Thanksgiving.
Cloquet Area Indivisible organized a public health panel at Cloquet High School on November 2—local experts discussed recent changes in federal vaccine guidelines and stressed that doctors remain the best source for accurate information—providing vital context amid growing vaccine hesitancy.
