- ➤ Arrowhead Builders Association announced that Build North Expo will be held from March 12-14 at the Essentia Duluth Heritage Center in Lincoln Park. - ➤ Fire crews responded to a building fire on the 6500 block of McQuade Road (in Duluth Township) around 5:15 p.m. on November 5th, finding the unoccupied residence a total loss with no injuries while investigators work to determine the cause. WDIO
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Minnesota Rusco filed for bankruptcy earlier this week after it closed its doors last week + the filing showed the company had between $1 and $10 million in assets but was over $100 million in debt. Three years ago, Texas-based Renovo Home Partners bought the company and shut down six other home improvement firms. KSTP

- ➤ About 30 high school students from Superior and Northwood attended I Heart Education Day at UW-Superior on Wednesday where faculty explained teaching methods and the use of nature in lessons — students shared how their teachers changed their lives and sparked interest in education — the event gave them a clear look at what teaching can be. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ A traditional ishkode — or prescribed burn — took place at Wisconsin Point this fall near the bird sanctuary on the bay side to restore Indigenous land management practices. Fire professionals from the Fond du Lac Band, City of Superior, The Nature Conservancy, and the Lake Superior National Estuarine Research Reserve coordinated the burn and plan additional burns for spring.
