  • Today, firearm deer hunting season starts as the Minnesota DNR reports over 200,000 licenses sold and expects a large turnout. Officials say local communities will benefit as hunters buy supplies—while they prepare for cold, wet weather in the field.  KSTP

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Today, the Minnesota Department of Public Safety asked hunters to watch for clues of missing people in remote areas while hunting and report unusual finds—such as out-of-place clothing or bones—by calling 911 without disturbing potential evidence. Hunters should take photos and mark the location before notifying law enforcement.  KSTP
