- ➤ Duluth Folk School hosted Resource Renew’s fix-it clinic on November 8—volunteers helped repair items like an air mattress, gloves and sewing machines free of charge. The program will restart in January to continue aiding residents and reducing waste. WDIO
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The 4-H program in St. Louis County now serves nearly 700 youth aged 5 to 19, offering projects in aerospace, performing arts, woodworking, and more—expanding its focus beyond traditional agriculture. Participants learn practical skills and gain confidence through hands-on projects and leadership training that help prepare them for job interviews. WDIO
- ➤ Girls on the Run Minnesota hosted a 5K at Leif Erikson Park with more than 140 Duluth students from five local schools to mark the end of their eight week fall program. The program teaches life skills through exercise + builds confidence and will continue with a spring session in April. WDIO
