- ➤ Save Our Ship, Inc. unveiled the restored Leif Erikson Viking ship at Knife River’s Julebeyen celebration, showcasing decades of volunteer work + they will host a special event on May 17 for Norwegian Constitution Day + volunteers will continue restoration maintenance. WDIO
- ➤ The Twin Ports Hmong community gathered at Coppertop church to celebrate the annual Hmong New Year with traditional music, clothing, and food; organizers, including UMD students, highlighted 50 years of Hmong immigration and plan to continue the celebration next year (nurturing a strong, close-knit culture). - ➤ On Friday, the Hibbing/Chisholm 12UA hockey team showed support for goalie Zoe Damjanovich, who is battling a brain tumor, by donning awareness stickers at the Fire and Ice Tournament in Hermantown. Zoe cheered her teammates from the bench while her family raised funds for her treatment & thanked supporters. WDIO
