- ➤ GoFundMe released a report showing Minnesota ranked sixth in generosity in 2025, with Hennepin and St. Louis counties among the 25 most active communities plus over 400,000 Minnesotans donating to local fundraisers. KSTP
- ➤ MnDOT is hosting its 6th annual snowplow naming contest, inviting residents to submit one creative name up to 30 characters (deadline noon on Dec. 19) and (no vulgar or political names allowed). MnDOT staff will review entries before a public vote selects eight winners. KSTP
- ➤ Duluth police officers joined 32 families at Target on Tuesday for the Blue Santa Shop with a Cop event where donations, including a $10,000 gift from the Irving Community Club & gift cards from the Gary New Duluth Community Club, provided holiday gifts for children and eased shopping stress. - ➤ Yesterday, Lake Superior College celebrated 175 graduates in a ceremony honoring students who plan to transfer or start working; nursing student Alison Tarutt (aspiring to work at St. Luke’s cardiac floor) expressed excitement to remain in Duluth as final exams begin on Dec. 16. WDIO

- ➤ Derrick Ketcham, 36, found hope with Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge after his 11th rehab attempt and has been clean for two years. He will now attend the Teen Challenge Leadership Institute and reunite his youngest daughter, whom he had not seen in four years, with her grandmother. WDIO
