The Duluth Area Family YMCA will provide 150 free holiday meal kits on Thursday, Dec.
18 starting at 4 p.m. at the Essentia Wellness Center in Hermantown & families can pick up a complete ham dinner on a first-come, first-serve basis.
RSM’s Duluth office donated over $20,000 to the local YMCA to support youth programs focused on improving food access, as part of its annual Power of Love campaign + the donation will help more families in need.
Duluth Parks and Recreation will use a $1.3 million grant to upgrade the Lester Park trailhead + add a bike skills area on the Duluth Traverse connecting 22 city parks, with construction set to begin in 2027.
Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northland reaches 215 kids daily across five clubhouses, including 100 at the Hibbing location.
The program promotes academic success, health, and leadership for youth aged 6-18.
The Duluth Salvation Army held its first distribution day on Tuesday to help around 1,000 families receive Christmas gifts, toys, and food for their holiday meals.
A local business (Super One) and other community partners backed the event to meet increased demand.
