- ➤ The UMD men's hockey team volunteered during winter break to build bed frames for children in need in partnership with Sleep in Heavenly Peace. The local nonprofit will deliver all 20 completed frames with mattresses, sheets, and quilts, giving kids a safe place to sleep. WDIO

- ➤ U.S. Senators are developing new laws to allow Minnesota's hemp industry to continue operations after November's federal restrictions on hemp-derived THC products, as Wild State Cider and others face revenue losses—lawmakers hope to use Minnesota's standards as a national model and have decisions made in the next few months. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Gold Star Distribution has recalled nearly 2,000 products after the FDA found rodent and bird droppings in the Minneapolis warehouse, affecting items in food, drugs, pet food and cosmetics that were sent to Minnesota and to stores in Fargo and Indianapolis.
