  • On Saturday, the EcoFaith Summit of the Upper Midwest (theme: From Fear to Fire, Igniting Community for a Planet in Peril) took place at First Lutheran Church in Duluth (where speakers and attendees discussed collaborating to heal the planet and bridge past divisions).  WDIO

SPORTS NEWS

  • Ben Vaske and Violet Sigsworth won the Fitger’s 5K in downtown Duluth on Saturday as Vaske recorded the fastest men’s time since 2003 and Sigsworth became the youngest-ever women’s champion. The race had 1,480 registrants including 395 kids and emphasized eco-friendly practices ahead of Earth Day.  WDIO
