Pulsar Helium signed a Limited Notice to Proceed with Chart Industries to start engineering work and equipment buying for its planned plant that will recover helium and capture carbon dioxide at the Topaz project near Babbitt in northeastern Minnesota— the company found a high-grade helium resource from its Jetstream wells on private land and will drill up to ten more wells as it awaits changes in state gas extraction rules.

Teamsters Local 320 union workers began a strike at UMD as they demanded a 3.5% wage increase while the university offered 3% with lump-sum payments and extra adjustments.
