If you're heading to on Friday, you could see history. UMD men's hockey coach Scott Sandelin is one win away from his 500th career victory, and the Bulldogs host Miami (Ohio). Only 23 Division I coaches have reached that mark.

Sandelin would join them with one more win.

Sandelin is UMD's all-time winningest coach and ranks third in career wins among active Division I head coaches. He's deflecting the praise: “I still think Jerry York’s got 1,100 wins,” he said. “I’d like to get it, and I’d like it to be Friday so we start the weekend the right way.”
